Why do it?

Everyone who takes on The Ultimate Golf Challenge will be helping to raise vital funds for The UTS Foundation charity which supports people living with cancer on the Wirral. There are currently 12,000 people who are affected by cancer on the Wirral, and The UTS Foundation wants to raise money to help each and every one of them. Since the charity was established in October 2016 the UTS Foundation have successfully raised over £180,000 and helped 100s of people. However, they believe that they can do much more.

The UTS Foundation's firm belief is that the research they are undertaking, in partnership with experts from Liverpool John Moores University, will revolutionise the way exercise is prescribed for those with cancer all over the world.

The ambition of the UTS Foundation is to extend their reach far beyond Wirral, to share research and best practise in order to assist other national and international organisations and practitioners. The research outcomes will ultimately help those with cancer achieve a new quality of life, new hopes, set new physical and psychological standards, and improve the quality of their families lives.
